11/20/09: Politico reports that the author who directed an undercover infiltration of the Council on
American-Islamic Relations has agreed to return 12,000 pages of the
group's documents, as well as audio and video recordings of CAIR
personnel, court documents show.
A proposed order filed Thursday in CAIR's lawsuit against David Gaubatz and his son Chris,
who posed as a Muslim convert to undertake a six-month internship with
the Muslim civil rights group, shows that both sides in the case agreed
that the materials taken from the group's Washington office would
be surrendered and held by CAIR as the litigation goes forward.
