02/19/12: The Boston Globe reports that spending on two of the Pentagon’s top priorities, cybersecurity and special operations forces, would largely remain flat or dip slightly in 2013 under the Defense Department’s budget proposal. Defense leaders have insisted that increased investments in these areas were needed to address future national security threats at home and abroad.
